Directions to The Children's Annex, Inc.
TRAVELING FROM: New York City area, New Jersey, & Connecticut
Take the NYS Thruway north to Exit #19 (Kingston, NY).
After the tollbooth, there will be a traffic circle. Stay to the right and take that first exit (for Rt. 28 West/Rt. 209). Stay in the right-hand lane and go through the traffic light in front of The Quality Inn, Johnson Ford & Johnson Nissan.
Keeping in the right-hand lane (immediately after the light), bear right onto the ramp for Rt. 209/199 & the Rhinecliff Bridge. You will be travelling on Rt. 209 north for a few miles and then west (passing the exits for Sawkill Rd., Enterprise Drive, Rt. 9W South & Rt. 9W North). Take the last exit before the Rhinecliff Bridge which will say "Rt. 32 - Saugerties/Kingston."
At the end of the exit ramp, make a right-hand turn onto Rt. 32 (you'll be heading north) and go approx. 1-1/2 miles (passing on the right the Municipal Airport, Besicorp, Quick Stop Deli, Links Lane, and Deer Park Run). Kukuk Lane is one quarter mile north of the deli (in the middle of a sharp, s-curve); at that corner, there will be signs for Ameribag & The Children's Annex and also Ulster Landing Park.
Take a right onto Kukuk Lane and go approx. ¼ mile; the Annex will be on the right. Come into the front parking lot; visitor parking is to the left of the main entrance.
TRAVELING FROM: Upstate NY (via Thruway to Saugerties):
Take the NYS Thruway south to Exit #20 (Saugerties, NY)
After the tollbooth, make a left onto Rt. 32 and go to the traffic light at the next intersection. Make a left onto Rt. 212/Rt. 32 and take that south into the Village of Saugerties (passing the Mobil Mart, over the railroad tracks, Sawyer Motors, Price Chopper, and then some residential homes).
At the next traffic light (Rts. 32/212 and Market Street -- Polaski Dental Bldg. on right), make a right onto Market Street. Go to the next traffic light (facing the Village Pizza) and make a left onto Main Street. Then go to the next traffic light and make a right onto Partition Street (Rts. 32 & 9W south -- Tango Café is on the corner). Go down the hill, over the bridge, up the hill (the road zigzags and then straightens) - then past the Gulf Gas Mart, the Rite Aid Mall, McDonalds, Sue's Restaurant, and then several gas stations, homes, and used car lots.
Stay in the left lane until you hit the next traffic light (Stewart's Ice Cream Store will be on the right). Take a left onto Rt. 32 South. Follow Rt. 32 south for several miles (curving country road); passing homes, then the Grey Mouse Church & Nursery School, Ulster Landing Road & Great Scot Kennels. A little further on you will pass a horse farm on the left (Aratrak) and then go another ¼ mile south to Kukuk Lane (it will be a left turn in the middle of a sharp s-curve). At that corner, there will be signs for Ameribag & The Children's Annex and also Ulster Landing Park.
Take a left onto Kukuk Lane and go down approx. ¼ mile (past several homes). The Annex is on the right - go into the front parking lot. Visitor parking is to the left of the main entrance.
